The Importance of Feeling Comfortable and Safe During Your Boudoir Session.

There’s absolutely no vulnerability, intimacy, or letting go without a feeling of safety.

And it’s the same thing for a boudoir session!

My boudoir client’s comfort and safety is my number one concern always and forever. From feeling their best coming into the situation, to posing, to the photos afterwards!

Here’s some ways I create a safe space for my clients and things you should REALLY think about when choosing your photographer. -

  1. I let them know before posing that THEY are in charge and that we can stop, pivot, or take a break at any moment! I may be the director, but you’re the star of the show. :)

  2. I give a warning and/or ask if I can touch you ever time I adjust your outfits, hair, etc.

  3. We go over the level of nudity beforehand, and y ou can change their mind at any time.

  4. I’m the one you talk to from the beginning to the end! You’ll get to know me a bit before even coming to the studio, not some rando assistant.

  5. I’m the only one there while shooting! Less eyes watching you, the comfier you’re able to get!

  6. I make sure you’re super prepared and know what to expect before you come in!

  7. I don’t share ANYTHING, behind the scenes or otherwise, without written consent! :)

  8. It’s a no judgement zone! You can be exactly who you are in the studio - physically included!

  9. If you’re a bit shy - don’t worry I talk enough for all of us! haha.

And besides all that, I’m just an easy person to be open around. I love and respect that each client who comes into my studio is so different! I take your personality, comfy level, and everything into account when crafting your boudoir session. :)

If you have any more questions about this or would like to get to know me a bit to see if we vibe before booking a session, I HIGHLY reccomend contacting me to set up a phone consult! It’s no pressure and a good way to talk together about things before committing. :)
